Adama Science and Technology University and the Ethiopian Aviation University discuss areas of collaboration

Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU), signs a MoU with the Ministry of Transport and Logistics (MoTL) and Debre Berhan University on September 29, 2025. The ceremony took place at the MoTL headquarters in Addis Ababa, a gathering that marked a promising alliance among educational institutions and governmental bodies.
The aim of this agreement is to foster collaboration in research initiatives. Participants will engage in joint research projects, share data and resources, and publish findings that could have far-reaching implications for the transportation sector in Ethiopia. The MoU also emphasizes staff and student exchanges, fostering an environment where innovative ideas flourish through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
During the signing ceremony, H.E. Dr. Alemu Sime, the Minister at MoTL, warmly welcomed the attendees, highlighting the importance of cooperative efforts in addressing the transportation challenges facing the nation. His enthusiasm for the initiative set a positive tone for the proceedings, indicating that the government is keen on integrating technological advancements within the transportation framework.
Dr. Lemi Guta, the president of ASTU, expressed his excitement about the partnership, particularly focusing on the potential exploration of Electric Vehicles (EVs) in Ethiopia. He stated that the collaboration provides a unique opportunity to investigate the viability of EVs in our country, which can contribute significantly to sustainable transportation solutions.
